ABOUT ABOUT

Love Connie (creator & star, John Cantwell) makes her Martinis debut with her latest multi-media dance/comedy extravaganza, Live From Connie-Wood!, a true Hollywood journey that follows our heroine from her early days as a bayou beauty queen to her arrival in the City of Angels seeking fame and fortune... or at least a delicious fortune cookie with a positive affirmation!

See why Los Angeles Magazine named the Love Connie experience Best Drag Show of 2019 as we tag along as she bumps and grinds her way through model calls, dance auditions, aerobic classes, pageantry, magazine layouts and phone sex with all of the break- neck energy you've come to expect from a Connie show.

The choreography was created by Lou Becker, 2-time Emmy award winner, Kathryn Burns, Ryan Heffington (Sia’s “Chandelier” video), Melissa Schade and Cantwell, who also writes (along with Terrence Michael) and executes. The costumes are by Miguel Barragan, Steve Dyson and Commercial Costuming with graphic design by Jeffrey Hilbert.

Conniewood! (season 1) was created by Cantwell and currently airs on WOW Presents Plus! The World Of Wonder produced series coincided with Love Connie’s very popular, season-stealing appearance on season 11, ep. 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race where Connie leads the queens in a rip-roaring aerobics routine and competition. Connie also appeared on that season’s finale wowing the live audience. It should also be noted that Connie appeared on season 1 of Will And Grace, the FX series The Riches starring Eddie Izzard and the feature film Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist. Cantwell also appeared (as himself) on other TV shows including The Norm Macdonald Show, Dharma & Greg and Pushing Daisies. He was a member of the legendary, gay sketch comedy group, The Nellie Olesons, and is known world-wide for spouting the greatest line of dialogue from the classic comedy Legally Blonde, “Oh, my God, the bend and snap works every time!” Does it ever!

Love Connie most recently appeared on RuPaul’s Celebrity Drag Race and currently stars in the David La Chapelle directed, Off Hiatus, an improvised comedy short surrounding a fashion shoot featuring Paris Hilton and a bevy of hot models set to the music of Daphne Guinness and Stevie Wonder.

"In our opinion, Love Connie is the breakout star of the season." - Socialite Life
